Submissions
Our reading period opens in the fall of 2026. Until then, nothing sent will be read — but here is exactly what we will be looking for, so you can arrive ready.
What we want
- Literary fiction and narrative non-fiction rooted in Canadian, and especially Atlantic Canadian, life.
- Cross-genre work that refuses a tidy shelf.
- Complete manuscripts for fiction; a full proposal and two sample chapters for non-fiction.
- Debut authors. We are actively looking for first books.
How to send it
- One PDF: cover letter, synopsis of one page, then the manuscript.
- Email to info@stonepondpress.com with “Submission” and your title in the subject.
- Simultaneous submissions are fine — tell us if it is placed elsewhere.
- We reply to everything, usually within twelve weeks of the reading period closing.
